Guide: What to do immediately after an assault

View our guide to help you navigate medical, legal, and emotional considerations after a sexual assault.

Supporting Survivors of Sexual Assault

We invite you to be part of our community of survivors and superheroes. For recent survivors, we have been where you are now, and we believe that our experiences can help you. For survivors who are further along in your journey, we believe that the wisdom you have gained can bring comfort, support and help to others. For loved ones, we know that you have your own questions and stories, and we invite you into our community as well.

We started as a mother-daughter team, struggling to find a way through the aftermath of sexual assault, and have since grown into a powerful and engaged international community. We are writers, educators, students, artists, advocates, and activists. We are an organization made up of survivors and loved ones who imagine a world in which every child, teen, and young adult is safe from all forms of sexual violence, and where no young person will live with the emotional and physical devastation of rape, sexual assault, and other sexually violent experiences.

Our Literary Journal

"Songs of Survival"

Songs of Survival is a literary journal by the organization Survivors to Superheroes, which strives to support young people aged 12-24 who have been affected by sexual violence. Our goal is to empower survivors and their loved ones by providing a space for them to share their stories in a creative way.

Support our Organization

We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without generous people like you. Donations to our organization are always welcome, so we can continue to help support survivors in their journeys to becoming superheroes.
